Xbox Game Studios continues to expand
According to a recent filing with the SEC Microsoft, Microsoft has not finished acquiring studios for its Xbox Game Studios. Xbox Game Studios has acquired major development studios such as Ninja Theory, Obsidian Entertainment and Playground Games, and now they are still seeking more studios to join their team. Microsoft is looking to expand the Xbox IP roadmap and take advantage of new content creators in anticipation of the next generation. The Xbox Game Studios titles out on the first day on Xbox Ultimate Game Pass, which brings broad Game Pass range on both Xbox One and PC.
Our platform game is designed to provide a variety of entertainment through a unique combination of content, community and cloud, said the recent introduction of Microsoft SEC. Our exclusive game content is created via Xbox Game Studios, a collection of studio owners creating iconic and differentiated gaming experiences. We continue to invest in new studios games and new content to expand our IP roadmap and take advantage of new content creators. These unique gaming experiences are the cornerstone of Xbox Game Pass, a subscription service and a community of players with access to an organized library of over 100 titles console and PC first and third party. »
The SEC filing was spotted by an Xbox Insider eagle-eyed known to Klobrille and this gives us an idea of what to expect from Microsoft for the next generation. While Microsoft has spent the majority of this generation to acquire new studios, it seems they have not finished looking strong development studios to integrate into the umbrella Xbox Game Studios. The recent Xbox Game Showcase showed the Xbox fans they can continue to expect a variety of Xbox Game Pass and Xbox gaming experiences Series X in the near future.
