VfL Wolfsburg: Also Felix Nmecha may play for Germany

After his brother Lukas, the Wolfsburg Felix Nmecha can now play for Germany. The FIFA approved the association change from England to Germany, reported the US news agency “AP”.

The native Hamburg, whose family emigrated to England in 2007, ran three times for the German U18 selection. Thereafter, however, the ex-professional of Manchester City decided for England, where he played seven games for the U18 and U19. Now he wants to run for the DFB selection.

“We would be glad if Felix can play in the future for Germany and will do anything for it,” DFB-Rebuviuchschef Joti Chatziallexiou had confirmed the “picture” at the beginning of January.

The change of association was requested. Next Christmas, U21 national coach Antonio di Salvo Wolfsburg had contacted Midfielder and tries to convince him of a Germany change.

The DFB officers hope that Felix Nmecha may, at the next European Championship qualifier, may for the first time for the U21 selection at the end of March against Latvia.

In 2019, the former U21 coach Stefan Kuntz England’s Junior National Lukas Nmecha had become DFB. With the U21 the striker became European champion last summer. In mid-November, national coach Hansi Flick made him a national player.
