Sonic the hedgehog 2 launched a new trailer today before Super Bowl and a fun Marvel reference there. While Sonic descends a mountain with snowboard, Robotnik pursues him before deploying Knuckles the Echidna to deal with blue blur. The hedgehog calls him the winter soldier while he tries to shake it. It is a funny wink to the dynamics of Sonic and Knuckles of the tradition of the series. In general, the red creature is used as a contrast for the main character, and even more commonly, the Equidna could be under the control of Eggman or at least be cheated.
