The main game of Stellaris has promised many hours of playing time and is already a legend among the 4x titles. With the DLCs already published, there are many hours. It is important to distinguish it in different types of expansion, since they differ in terms of scope and price.

The most important DLCs are always the large content packages for 19.99 euros each, as they significantly expand the game with new facets. The following DLCs of this kind have been available for Stellaris:

  • Utopia (April 2017)
  • Apocalypse (February 2018)
  • Megacorp (December 2018)
  • Federation (March 2020)
  • Nemesis (April 2021)

The so -called story packs are available for 9.99 euros each, namely the Leviathan Story Pack (October 2016), the Synthetic Dawn Story Pack (September 2017), the distant Star Story Pack (May 2018) and the Ancient Relics Story Pack ( June 2019).

Another category is the species packs for 7.99 to 9.99 euros: with these new peoples come into play, most recently there was the Aquatics Species Pack in November 2021.

Thanks to this additional content, the space game is still full of potential even for experienced players after all these years. This applies all the more to newcomers: Although the DLCs are very successful, it is advisable to get to know the basic game first due to the costs and then to increase the extensions step by step.
